The focus of the event will be on Improving the Food Environment in Accra, the Coalition's efforts in the past year-and-a-half to address the challenges that come with it, and its future plans including opportunities for new partnerships. Urban Food Environment expert Prof. Amos Laar and the Agricultural Counsellor of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ghana, will each deliver a speech on the future potential for Ghanaian and Dutch actors to further collaborate to improve Accra’s Food Environment from a food systems perspective, with a focus on fruits and vegetables.
In the afternoon an Open Space session will be organised wherein Coalition members and partners can set up work sessions around their specific Coalition-related issues to have joint in-depth exchanges. All participants (organisations) are requested to consider active (continuing) involvement in the Coalition activities in the upcoming phase and will be asked to actively participate and confirm this involvement at the end of the event.
