NFP World Food Day 2024 - That's a Wrap!

Thank you to everyone who made NFP World Food Day 2024 a success! With over 500 participants from across the globe, the event fostered meaningful discussions and debates, saw a live podcast recording, and brought together attendees in creative and interactive sessions. Whether engaging in the experience sessions, reflecting on the history of food security in the Impact Gallery, or networking over a True Priced lunch, participants addressed key issues like sustainability and food security with fresh insights and bold ideas. Now that the event is over, this is not the end—we strongly believe this will be the spark and motivation for a year where we continue to shape the future of food systems together!

From dialogue to direction: What the Food Diamond Dialogues Taught Us

Something struck me during our final Food Diamond Dialogue session on June 2nd, which brought together people from knowledge institutions, civil society organizations, government, and the private and financial sector - the so-called Dutch Diamond actors. As a room full of professionals from these diverse fields gathered to discuss how we can collectively increase our impact on food and nutrition security in low- and middle-income countries, it became clear how differently organizations within and across the Diamond perceive their roles and responsibilities.

The Biodiversity & Food Systems Shared Messages are the result of an intentional community-owned co-development process convened by the Netherlands Food Partnership and shaped together with members of the Biodiversity & Food Systems Partnership. The Shared Messages articulate a common ground across sectors, actors, and scales, while recognising the importance of pluralism, different ways of knowing, and context-specific pathways for change.
